The Forte di Pozzacchio (or ValmorbiaWerk in its original German name) is a World War I fortification, situated on the historical border between Austria and Italy. The fortress played a crucial role in the conflict, determining the passage of the long-disputed region of Trentino from the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the reign of Italy. I invited a dancer from Trentino to interact with the Forte di Pozzacchio's ruins and new-built structures, evoking the dualistic character of the site which was decisive for the determination of her language and culture.
